Ryden's Hymn To Nature

I attended Mark Ryden's "The Tree Show" with my brother almost two years ago at the Michael Kohn Gallery in West Hollywood.

We were blown away by it.

Not only were Ryden's paintings tender, emotional, sad and extraordinary (as usual), the hand-crafted frames were exquisite constructions.

Finally, the book of the show, which devotes a large part of its bulk to the creation of the work, has been released by Porterhouse Fine Art Editions, Inc. It is a beautiful volume that is also bargain-priced(!) -- highly unusual for a Ryden collection.

It is a fantastic celebration of Nature (Trees, specifically).


Breathtaking and surreal images such as these continue to define one of the most influential American artists of the 21st century.
